While it's easy to sort out communications from friends on Twitter, they do not offer any way to form groups or communities. Let's face it-people like to belong to a group. Groups make communication and socializing easier and more fun! So, if you love Twitter but wish you could form a group of like-minded individuals on any topic imaginable, simply follow these steps, and you'll be forming your own Twitter family in no time!

1. Visit http://www.tweetworks.com

2. Log in using your Twitter ID & Password. If you don't have a Twitter account already, click on the "Get One " link to set up your Twitter account!

3. Once you've logged in, click on the "Create a Group" button on the side bar (red button) on the home page of Tweetworks.

4. In the popup window, enter a name your group, and offer a brief description. If you want your group to be private, you must check the box beside "Hide group's posts.. ". This prevents any posts tweeted within the group from being seen in public by the gazillions of other Twitterites! Then click on "Create Group " to get your group on the fast track to Twitterdom!

5. Next, it's time to announce your group to a select few or to the entire Twitterverse! Although we all know you are outstanding in your field, you don't really want to be out there all alone if you created a group, right? On the right side panel, under Settings, click on the "tell people about this group on twitter " link. In the pop up invitation box, you can add names of Twitter friends, or send a message to your adoring public, announcing the presence of your group. Tweetworks converts your Tweetworks Group URL into a tinyURL. Because they love to make things tiny there, I guess!

6. Now it's time to get that proverbial ball rolling, and open things up with the first message. Consider sending a general description message that elaborates on the purpose of your group, and telling people WHOM the group is for. (Bukisa writers, Little Lebowski Underachievers, Jay & Silent Bob fans, the choices are limitless! )

So, what are you waiting for? Get over there and grow your own tweeting group today!
