Right now, it isn't possible to delete an ad unit from within your account. This is designed to help avoid instances where an ad unit that's in use on your site might be deleted accidentally. However, you can hide ad units by clicking the Hide links next to the ads you don't wish to see.
You can later view all your ad units, including those that have been hidden, by checking the 'Show hidden AdSense units' box.
